This voice, the sublime voice of Deirdre Starr, draws you in deep, past the lyrics, into the very essence of the song. Contemporary Irish songs mix with the traditional and that voice just pulls you in, making you feel that you are hearing these familiar songs for the first time. Less is more, as the subtle, beautiful arrangements on piano and keyboard blend with the delicate guitar of legendary musician and producer Jon Mark (Marianne Fathfull, John Mayall, Mark-Almond Band).

Dominic Behan's ‘Patriot Game' and the Christy Moore penned ‘I wish I was in England' have unique piano accompaniments, arranged and played by Deirdre. A fresh approach to the familiar makes for worthwhile listening.
